When people ask us why we started a childcare center, we do not start with a business plan. We start with our family.
As parents of nine children and a family shaped by foster care and adoption, we have spent years searching for childcare that truly understood our kids. Care that did not just watch them, but saw them. Care that met them where they were, not where a checklist said they should be.
We found wonderful people along the way. But we also found gaps. Centers that closed at 6 PM when our work did not. Programs that were not designed for children who carried big emotions or came from complicated beginnings. Environments that did not always reflect the kind of family we are.
So we built what we wished had existed.
Benevolent House Academy is not just a childcare center. It is a place where every child, from every family, every background, and every circumstance, has a space where they are truly known. Where the day starts with connection, not just attendance. Where character matters as much as ABCs. Where families like ours, and families nothing like ours, all feel at home.
Opening in April 2026 at 508 N State Hwy 342 in Red Oak, Texas, BHA will serve children ages 6 weeks through 13 years with 24-hour care, a research-based curriculum, and a team that genuinely believes in the work.
This blog is where we will share our journey. The progress, the lessons, the behind-the-scenes moments of building something from the ground up. We hope you will follow along, and when the time is right, we hope you will trust us with your child.
Because every child deserves a place where foundations become futures.
