Four months ago, we opened our doors. This month, I want to pause and simply say thank you, and share a little about what is going well and what is coming next.
What is going well
Our families. You have trusted us with your children, and you have partnered with us in every way that matters. You read the Brightwheel updates, you ask questions, and you celebrate the small wins with us. That partnership is the heart of BHA.
Our team. Our teachers show up for children every single day with patience and warmth. This summer, Ms. Vanessa Wright joined us as Assistant Director, and she has been a gift to our classrooms and our families.
Known & Growing. Our own curriculum is now part of every classroom. The daily feelings check-ins, the monthly character traits, and the Friday portfolios have become some of our favorite parts of the week.
Growing into every classroom
One of the most beautiful things about early childhood is that children are always growing into their next classroom. As our little ones move up, spots open behind them. Right now, we have spots available in every age group, from 6 weeks to 5 years, including our infant rooms, which fill quickly. If you have been waiting for the right time to visit, this is it. We would love to meet your family.
What is coming next
We are licensed for 24-hour care, and from the beginning our vision has been to serve families whose work does not stop at 6 PM. We are taking that step by step, so we can do each one well.
Weekend daytime care is next. We plan to offer Saturday and Sunday care from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for children ages 2 to 10. Our goal is to open no later than January 2027, and prayerfully sooner. After that, we will add evening care for ages 2 and up and a school-age summer program.
