Thoughtfully designed care for every stage, from a child's very first weeks through their elementary school years.
At Benevolent House Academy, academics are just one part of the picture. We build our programs around three commitments that make BHA different from any other childcare center in our community.
Each month, BHA centers on a character trait like kindness, courage, patience, or respect. Through classroom activities, stories, and recognition, children learn what it means to be a good person, not just a good student.
Every day at BHA begins with connection. Our classrooms use feelings boards, calm-down corners, and relationship-building circles to help children name their emotions, feel heard, and build the self-regulation skills that last a lifetime.
We celebrate every kind of family. Our family connection practices honor the diverse structures of the families we serve. Every child sees their family reflected and respected at BHA.
Every day at BHA, children are building, painting, singing, exploring, and discovering. Our classrooms are active, hands-on environments where learning happens through play, creativity, and meaningful interaction with teachers and peers.
Behind every activity is Learning Beyond Paper, a research-based curriculum aligned with Texas early learning standards. It guides our teachers through over 4,000 intentional activities across 52 weeks, covering STEAM, early literacy through the Science of Reading, physical development, and social-emotional growth for every age group from infants through Pre-K 4.
