Getting Ready: The Final Weeks Before Opening

There is a moment in every big dream when it stops being a plan on paper and starts becoming a real place. For us, that moment came this spring.

Since February, our days have been full of preparation. Behind every classroom door is work most families never see: policies written and rewritten, an emergency preparedness plan, a parent handbook, enrollment paperwork, and every detail Texas licensing requires before a single child walks through the door. We did not rush any of it, because every policy is really a promise about how we will care for your child.

Then came the part that made it feel real. Room signs went up. Classroom binders were filled. Cribs, cots, books, and blocks found their places. And each classroom received its name: Seedlings for our infants, Discoverers for our young toddlers, Explorers for our toddlers, Innovators for our preschoolers, and Scholars for Pre-K. Each name says something we believe about the children who will fill that room.

We also began meeting the people who would become our team. We were not only looking for experience. We were looking for patience, warmth, and a genuine belief that every child deserves to be known by name.

As I walk through the building these days, I find myself pausing in each room and thinking about the little ones who will nap in these cribs, the parents who will hand us their most precious gift every morning, and the teachers who will pour into them.

We are almost there. Thank you for following along, and to every family who has already reached out: we cannot wait to meet you.
